PROFILE

She is a special educator in the field of students with special needs, and besides this has an in pedagogical evaluation and assessment.
She has been teaching in a special primary school for 20 years, and at the University of Szeged Special Education Teacher Training Institute for 11 years. She has been dealing with therapy dogs for 14 years. She is a therapy animal trainer as well.
Students with special needs is a very heterogenouous group, even if their diagnosis is the same, as their skill profiles can be very varied. In order to offer effective education and chances for finding jobs, it is very important to assess their skills with appropriate methods. Choosing the right pet for them not only does improve life quality, but makes pedagogical, social and health care work more efficient from developing young children to assist the elderly. Therapy dogs can mean an outstanding support in these fields. These are two areas where I do practical, edcuational and research work.
