Presentation in the international colloquium "Romanian academic lexicography

The Quill project was presented in the framework of the international colloquium "Romanian academic lexicography. The challenges of informatization", initiated and organized by the Department of lexicology and lexicography at the "Alexandru Philippide" Institute of Romanian Philology of the Romanian Academy - Iași Branch, is mainly dedicated to lexicography regarding the Romanian language and the digitization process of linguistic research, thus having a unique character at national level. The fourth and final partners' meeting took place in Florence on 16 - 17 February 2023 The main discussion points have been:
- Presentation of the final version of the publication on the methodologies for an effective planning and implementation of digital and ICT based solutions for language teaching and learning in the Higher Education sector.

Lithuanian Multiplier Event

The Forum “Digital literacy as Quality Assurance in Language Teaching/ Erasmus+ Quill project Multiplier Event” was held in the Visitor Centre of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania (60 Gediminas Avenue); the Patron of the Forum was Prof. Raimundas Lopata, Chairman of the Future Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania.

The publication "Implementation of Digital Learning Opportunities in Higher Education. Guidelines for Good Practice" is available.
This publication is aimed at Higher Education policymakers, as well as Languages for Specific Purpose (LSP) lecturers. It contains important theoretical and practical guidelines to improve the implementation of digital-based language learning opportunities in higher education. It also intends to present, examine and reflect on the opportunities related to the use of digital technology in the language learning and teaching process.This publication brings together contributions from the six partners that integrate the QuILL project consortium.

E-learning course - Module 3

The e-learning based package is aimed at higher education LSP lecturers, and it specifically intends to guide them in innovating their language teaching methodologies through the effective use of quality digital-based OER teaching sources.
The second module is entitled “Creation of Quality Digital Technology-Based Language Teaching Sources”. It has the aims to: provide a wide-ranging definition of the concept of digital technologies-based teaching resources; provide useful information on how to create simple to more complex e-learning based teaching/learning resources through the use of free software; provide examples of basic programming concepts for creation of webgames, online-courses and apps for language learning and teaching, bearing in mind the proficiency of the user.

The second module is entitled “Use of Quality Digital-Based Language Teaching Sources as an Integration or Alternative to Classroom Teaching Approaches”. It has the aims to: discuss the opportunities related to the use of digital technologies-based teaching resources in Higher education language courses; describe how to achieve the integration of media-based, digital solutions in university language programmes; provide examples of digital resources such as web sites, social media, apps, among others, that can increase language teaching effectiveness and attractiveness in the field of LSP.

E-learning course - Module 1

The e-learning based package is aimed at higher education LSP lecturers, and it specifically intends to guide them in innovating their language teaching methodologies through the effective use of quality digital-based OER teaching sources.
The first module is entitled "Identification of Quality Digital Based OER Language Teaching Sources" and it consists in a training course designed for lecturers who carry out their activity in the field of any academic discipline and who need to cater their courses for non-native speakers of the language of instruction in their courses.

QuiLL Training Activity

The Training Activity was held at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança-Portugal from 18 to 22 July 2022. During the five days of training, participants became engaged in the identification, use and creation of digital-based teaching sources, reflecting on the concept of quality OER, and enhancing their digital skills. Moreover, they shared innovative teaching experiences, and became acquainted with other teaching methodologies of other institutions and other languages.

The Second Transnaltional meeting of the Quill project took place in Cordoba (ES) on 7-8 October 2021.Elisabete Silva (IPB) and Lorenzo Martellini (Pixel) presented to the partners the current situation for the first Intellectual Output, the Database of Teaching Sources. Moreover, the templates for the second Intellectual Output, the e-Learnig Training Course, have been presented, discussed and approved.

Kick-off Meeting of the QuILL project

The Kick-off meeting took place online on 23 – 24 March 2021. Elisabete Mendes Silva and Lorenzo Martellini presented the project and the activities to be carried out to the partners. The meeting was also an opportunity for the partners to get to know each other and to discuss all details related to the project's activities. At the end of the meeting all the partners had a clear view of the future project's implementation, the financial rules and the next activities which consists in the involvement of the target groups, and the identifiication of the Learning Sources in different languages.
