The resource offers a study environment that by some may be regarded as rather conventional and not offering much excitement. However, the value of the resource is seen in that it provides an easy access to 400 items of core academic vocabulary and presents frequently used collocations. Competence in the academic vocabulary leads to one’s ability to produce writing in the university-level or similar contexts. Hence the resource will prove useful in classrooms with limited access to the internet, or environments focused on acquisition of relevant vocabulary within limited time, such as preparation for examinations.
