Description

The study material includes audio material and listening tasks for the Latvian language textbook "Skaidrs!".
The target audience of the textbook is students of Baltic philology at Lithuanian Universities who have started practical learning of the Latvian language. Step by step through the six chapters of the book, students can get acquainted with the similarities and differences of Latvian and Lithuanian grammar, and, under the guidance of the book's characters, discover similarities and differences between Lithuanian and Latvian culture, history, and geography.
The book pays special attention to the acquisition of the Latvian language sound system. Students not only develop the ability to perceive and understand the text in Latvian but also strengthen the pronunciation of the Latvian language with the help of phonetic exercises included in the book.
The book is written without an intermediary language, so it is recommended to use it with a teacher.
The given material contains only audio recordings.

Case study

The material includes only audio files and shall be used with the textbook. The material is intended for Lithuanian students who study Latvian Philology and Culture, therefore Latvian students have not used it.
