The portal is a collection of all available resources for an extremely wide range of learners of all ages and interests that was created and maintained primarily by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Estonia.
The study material is classified on the basis of the taxonomy used in the curricula. A metadata system based on curriculum structure, features and themes has been created for keyword formulation.
It is an environment for finding and publishing study materials and compiling collections of study materials dedicated to a certain domain or a certain stage in formal education. Besides, it has a subgroup of resources for vocational and informal education, which makes it useful for a still wider circle of users. The material is provided by teachers of various levels or education as well as by established publishing houses.

The resource is a valuable tool in teachers professional sharing and exchanges. The logged-in user can enter the study material, recommend the study material, give feedback and consolidate the found materials into personal collections.

You can search for materials and collections in the content tree on the left of the screen, or use the search form in the header at the top. With a simple search, you can search by title, description, author, keyword, or publisher. To perform a more advanced search, you can use the filter next to the search form to refine your selections. The study material can be searched by general competencies, cross-curricular topics, class, level of education, curriculum topics and type of study material.
The portal offers three working languages ( Estonian, English, Russian) but they are not used consistently within the site. Some teacher guidance may be required for non-native learners ( not Estonians) to spot the needed text, lesson or video. The various types of learning and informative materials ( video, texts, tests etc) will be used according to learners’ needs either in class or independently.
