BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
Apor Vilmos Catholic College (AVCC) is a faith-based, state-recognized higher educational institution, maintained by the Bishop of Vác. It offers study programs in Hungarian language on two campuses located in Vác and in Budapest. Training fields encompass BA programmes in teacher education, social science, religious studies and MA programmes in educational science, social pedagogy, mental health and community development. Besides the up-to-date theoretical knowledge, the BA programs of Infant and Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten and Lower Primary School Teacher Training provide practice-oriented training to prepare students for their prospective vocation and for the requirements of the labour market. AVCC also offers a part-time study program in Kindergarten Teacher Training( BA) in English language. Internationalization is one of the strategic priorities of AVCC collaborating with several partner institutions in the Erasmus+ Programme. . AVCC has been running Erasmus+ Semester programme for international students and AVCC students for several years. The aim of the programme is to encourage students’ engagement in intercultural dialogue, to promote cultural awareness through sharing cultural values, professional knowledge and experience.
AVCC offers both mandatory and optional courses for 20-30 ECTS, and the programme also includes a thematic
international week in each academic year.
HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS
AVCC will participate in the dissemination of the project information by promoting information about the project
on its homepage and it will distribute information about the project to its network of contacts. AVCC will
contribute to the dissemination and exploitation of the project results by offering opportunities for the
language lecturers at AVCC and its network of contacts to get familiar with the main project outcomes. By
encouraging language lecturers at AVCC and at its partner institutions to implement their acquired skills and
knowledge concerning digital and ICT based language teaching sources and innovative teaching methods into
their teaching activities, AVCC will contribute to the exploitation and sustainability of the project results. Through
giving news about calls for conference papers and journal publications on the project topics, AVCC will participate in promoting exchange of experience and expertise during and after the project.
