PROFILE

Gema León Bravo, physiotherapist with more than 23 years of experience, is a specialist in osteopathy, myofascial, craniosacral and somatoemotional techniques and soft tissue treatment; as well as the founder and manager of the Gema León Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Clinic.
Trainer of physiotherapists as a clinical tutor with more than 5,000 hours of practical teaching and more than 5,700 hours of teaching as a clinical tutor of other health specialties from 2003 to 2017; as well as associate professor at the University of Cordoba in the Degree of Physiotherapy since 2017 and tutor of 8 TFGs of university students of this degree.
Gema León has more than 4,000 hours of specialised training carried out in different areas and subjects belonging to the field of physiotherapy, including Pelvic Floor Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and Urogynaecological Pathology (Course approved by the Ministry of Health through the Continuing Education Commission of the National Health System, 2017). She has also been a speaker and communicator at more than 65 national and international conferences and author of several written communications (article type) at the VI International Conference on Bilingual Education (organised by the UCO in October 2020).
In addition, she has an Official University Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (San Pablo CEU University of Madrid), Expert in Macro and Micronutrition and Diet Therapy (University of Almeria), Postgraduate Degree (U.A.I) of Initiation in Postural Myofunctional Rehabilitation (Approved by the Universidad Abierta Interamericana R.M.P. International School, 2018), Postgraduate in Early Stimulation of Child Development (endorsed by the Escuela Superior de Cualificaciones Profesionales), Postgraduate in Early Attention (Universidad Antonio de Nebrija) and Postgraduate in Child Psychological Development (Universidad Antonio de Nebrija), Postgraduate in Occupational Risk Prevention, Higher Level, Triple Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics and Applied Psychosociology (Tripartite Foundation, INEM, and European Social Fund), Expert in Pelvic Floor and Expert in Postural Myofunctional Reprogramming. She was also director of the Master in Craniosacral and Somatoemotional Myofascial Therapy of the UCO (2015-2016), as well as director of the Course in Myofascial Therapy of the UCO (2018-2019).
She was also a member of the Practicum Commission of the Degree in Physiotherapy of the UCO (2018-2020), member of the TFG Tribunal of the Degree in Physiotherapy of the UCO, as Secretary of Committee no. 3 (2020-2021), member of the Practicum-ECOE Commission of the Degree in Physiotherapy of the UCO (from 2021 to present), member of the Curriculum Commission of the Degree in Physiotherapy of the Faculty of Nursing and Medicine of the UCO (from 2021 to the present), member of the Board of the Faculty of Nursing and Medicine of the UCO for the Sector B "Other Teaching or Research Staff" (from 2021 to the present), member of the Evaluation Commission of the Employment Exchange of the post C190307 of the Area of Physiotherapy.

She has visited the RMP International School (Italy) for three months (March-May 2019), as a research member of the Postural Myofunctional Rehabilitation Research Program (the M.P.R. Research Program), directed by Prof. Dr. Silverio Di Rocca.

She was a constituent member and participant of the Teaching Innovation Group 079 of the Area of Human Anatomy and Embryology of the Department of Morphological Sciences (from 2018 to present), as well as a member of the Research Group CTS329 for the Study of Growth Endocrinology and Nutrition) and Professor Member of the Teachers Working Group of the QuILL Project established at the University of Cordoba (Ref. Project Number: 2020-1-PT01-KA226-HE-094809).
