BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION

Vilniaus Kolegija/University of Applied Sciences (VIKO) is an accredited state higher school of the Republic of Lithuania, which provides professional higher education (college)-level studies, develops applied research and professional arts. VIKO was established in 2000, with the implementation of the Higher Education Act of the Republic of Lithuania that legitimated a binary system of higher education in Lithuania. VIKO is the largest accredited higher professional education institution in Lithuania. VIKO seeks to equip study process with modern training technologies via participation in international projects and cooperation with organizations and enterprises. The studies are being organised in eight faculties: the Faculty of Electronics and Informatics, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Business Management, the Faculty of Health Care, the Faculty of Pedagogy, the Faculty of Design and Technology, the Faculty of Agrotechnologies and the Faculty of Arts. Since October 1, 2020 VIKO has been offering 48 study programmes in all areas of studies, with 6382 students and 460 teachers. On September 1, 2014, after the Department of Foreign Languages was reorganized, the Centre for Foreign Languages (FLC) was established in Vilniaus Kolegija. The main field of activity of 16 the Centre's teachers is training of a special, professional and business foreign language, the use of new teaching / learning methods, the development of electronic modules and the provision of the necessary knowledge for professional and research activities in a multilingual, multicultural environment. FLC pays its special attention to the diversity of foreign languages. VIKO students have the opportunity to improve their already learned English, German, French and to study business and specialty subjects in these languages as well as to learn new ones: Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Russian, Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish. The teachers are foreign language specialists who are not afraid to change and share their experience with linguists of higher education institutions of Lithuania and other countries. Teachers of the Foreign Language Centre share their insights and research results and get new ideas at the annual conferences of the Language Teachers' Association of Lithuania (LKPA).

HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS

The lecturers of Foreign Languages Centre support the tasks of the project authors, which aim to solve three main problems: how to identify and select quality digital technologies - based language teaching sources, how to implement and effectively use ICT based language teaching materials in a classroom -based and blended-based environment, how to create new and customize digital technologies - based teaching sources for language teaching sources. VIKO has a remote teaching / learning platform Moodle. Here, teachers of various subjects place their own material, as well as refer to databases. According to this material, students study independently, prepare projects and reports or other work. Due to the large number of sources and the time required for the search, a professionally selected and reliable material or its sources in one place is a topical and worrying issue for foreign language professionals. The Foreign Language Centre has its own website: https://ukc.viko.lt/, as well as the FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/217997451594474; The lecturers of the centre are members of the Language Teachers' Association of Lithuania (LKPA). so information about the project will be available on the LKPA website: http://www.lkpa.vdu.lt/category/naujienos/ and in the FB group: https://www.facebook.com/lkpasociacija/. Sharing experiences and disseminating results is a necessary and impotant thing for the project.
