The present online source is a website created by a primary school located a few kilometres from the capital of Slovenia. This website contains authentic texts related to general primary school education in Slovenia with a wide range of useful vocabulary items in this field. Students can learn professional vocabulary in connection with almost every aspect of primary education, e.g. words related to school buildings, rules and regulations, subjects (mathematics, English as a foreign language, geography) as well as useful learning methods and strategies, after-school activities and school projects, etc. Also, there are many photos illustrating different kinds of activities, school trips and school life which can be used for various purposes. This online source is absolutely motivating, as the design of the website is appealing and a lot of visual materials are available including a virtual tour in the school.
Lead-in activity/warmer: Eliciting information on learners’ knowledge of Slovenian vocabulary in connection with schools, school subjects, school activities, school equipment, etc. This may encourage students to use Slovenian.
The texts on the website can be used as reading exercises. The teacher can carefully select those texts which are best suitable for the students and then divide them in smaller groups whose task is to read a given section (e.g. after-school activities, or class trips, etc.) and then illustrate the main points on a poster. The groups present their posters to each other, which gives the students the opportunity to develop their speaking skills. Afterwards, the students may share their feelings and opinions about the topic in an open discussion. The last activity is more suitable for learners at B2+ level.
Modifications in the texts can make the resource suitable for students at B1 level as well. The teacher can design different exercises, e.g. worksheets containing questions, true or false statements, or fill-in-the gap exercises, etc. to check understanding. Also, the teacher may use the photos in the gallery/ the virtual tour in the school as prompts thus giving the students the opportunity to describe what they can see.

The present online source suits the needs of students specialized in Teacher Education, as it includes information about general primary school education in Slovenian and contains the most important technical terms. The design of the website and the photos/ the virtual tour in the school can be motivating for learners to read and speak in Slovenian. Teachers can print out some texts and make some changes to adapt them to the needs of students at B1 level. Another advantage of the resource is that the website (or at least some parts of it) has an English version, so lower level students can check their understanding themselves as well if they decide to learn autonomously. In addition, the fact that an English version is available makes it possible that this material may be applied in other language projects in other countries as well. Assessment can be aimed at the vocabulary, the topic itself (i.e. what students have learnt about primary education) or their oral performance in the open discussion or in the picture description tasks. Both students and lecturers can use this source easily and it can be accessed and downloaded without difficulty.
