Description
This resource is intended for students willing to build their colloquial Estonian vocabulary. This resource contains 42 topics, such as feelings, sports, animals, abstract items, beverages, traffic, people, electric appliances, etc. The starting page is a menu listing all the topics in English ( but you can modify the source language and switch to your native language both on the page you are in as well as at the main page of the resource, https://www.50languages.com). Every topic name is accompanied by an audio recording with the pronunciation of the relevant item (click the rightward looking arrow). Upon clicking on the image representing the selected topic, you are taken to a page where a number of relevant lexical items are provided in English (or your native language, if you have switched to it) and Estonian. Every lexical item, again, is written down in Estonian, and is accompanied by an image, a translation into the source language, and a pronunciation. If you click on the plus sign "+" in the right-most column, a pop-up window will appear, offering you to check if you know the same word in any of the other 49 languages, represented by little flag icons. You can navigate back and forth between the topics by clicking "next" and "previous" on top the page, or make your choice from the main page, in which case just click "Home".
